17 Best Yellow Cocktails (+ Easy Recipes)

Yellow cocktails often get overlooked in the array of beautiful and vibrant hues.

They aren’t as eye-catching as the brilliant blue cocktails, as pretty as the perfectly pink cocktails, or as fun as the gloriously green cocktails.

But actually, yellow cocktails can be all of those things and more!

They’re eye-catching, pretty, fun, flavorful, sweet, tart, tangy, and the list goes on and on.

Don’t believe me? Then keep scrolling because these 17 yellow cocktails have it all.

And since you guys know I can’t resist a good pun, I’ll go for it.

Simply put, these yellow cocktails are the bee’s knees!

1. The Bee’s Knees

You get my joke now, right? Sorry, I crack myself up.

But seriously, this gin cocktail really is the bee’s knees in more ways than one.

That’s its name, obviously, but it’s also a fantastic drink. Its mellow yellow color probably won’t turn any heads.

However, its sweet and zingy taste will have everyone coming back for more.

The combination of honey and lemon juice is so refreshing.

Adding the gin makes it almost taste medicinal, only it’s too yummy to be medicine.

2. French 75

The French 75 is a bubbly, golden cocktail perfect for more formal occasions.

It’s light, lemony, and a stronger step up from pure Champagne.

If you want to celebrate something, the French 75 can help you do it in style.

3. French 77

The French 77 is very similar to the French 75.

But adding elderflower liqueur gives it a lovely flowery aroma and a distinct taste.

It’s crisp and refreshing, sweet and citrusy.

And like its 75 counter part, it’s wonderfully festive. It also works extremely well for special occasions.

So break it out at your next holiday party.

4. Golden Margarita

Want to whip up a high-class, top-shelf drink in mere moments? Check out this recipe for the golden margarita.

Every ingredient comes from the top shelf, and its taste totally reflects that.

It’s so smooth and easy to make, and you’ll love every drop.

I won’t say it’s the best margarita recipe you’ll ever make, but it’s definitely high on the list. (Maybe even in the top three.)

5. Lemon Drop Martini

This 5-minute, 5-ingredient drink is perfect for anyone who loves Lemon Drop candies.

While the drink doesn’t taste exactly like candy, it’s pretty close, especially if you add sugar around the rim.

6. Pansy Gimlet

The pansy gimlet puts a flowery twist on the classic gimlet.

It has similar ingredients to the original.

There’s still gin and simple syrup, though in this case, it’s pansy simple syrup.

However, you’ll swap out the lime juice for lemon juice.

It’s a sweet-n-sour, floral-and-citrus mixed drink that everyone will enjoy. It also has a beautiful, bright yellow color.

Garnish it with a real pansy for aesthetics.

7. Passion Fruit Daiquiri

Sweet and slushy daiquiris are some of my favorite drinks.

Of course, these golden, passion-fruit-infused daiquiris are slightly different from most.

They balance flawlessly between sweet and tart and are tropical all the way through.

They’re smooth and a bit decadent, especially considering the price of passion fruit these days!

If you like delicious drinks that are a little bit sour, you’ll love passion fruit daiquiris.

8. Passion Fruit Mojito

If one passion fruit drink isn’t enough, here’s another one!

This one adds passion fruit to the traditional mojito. It’s minty, fruity, and wonderfully crisp.

This breezy, tangy drink is the ultimate in tropical beach drinks.

Enjoy it on an exotic island or while simply chilling by the pool. It’s a real hit either way.

9. Peach Old-Fashioned

Do you love that good, old-fashioned Georgia peach flavor?

If so, you’ll undoubtedly appreciate the peach old-fashioned.

It’s a delightfully sweet and smoky drink.

It combines bourbon, peach syrup, cardamom, and smoked cinnamon bitters.

Best of all, it takes mere moments to make a whole batch of the stuff.

Give it a try at your next summer party or BBQ.

10. Penicillin Cocktail

The penicillin combines honey, lemon juice, and ginger for a strong medicinal taste. (Hence, the name!)

It’s potent, unique, and hard to describe. Most people enjoy it, though.

11. Pineapple Daiquiri

Looking for an incredible summer classic that’s always a hit?

You can’t beat the pineapple daiquiri. It has all the cool, slushy deliciousness of the typical strawberry daiquiri.

This one simply has a lot more pineapple yumminess.

It features real pineapple chunks, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and belly-warming rum.

Everyone who tries it will love it. So be sure you make enough to quench the thirst of the whole crowd.

12. Hawaiian Bonfire Spicy Pineapple Cocktail

Love pineapples but want something a bit more complex?

Try the Hawaiian bonfire instead. It has loads of pineapple flavor.

The addition of jalapenos is a real game-changer, though.

The peppers give the drink a spicy, throat-burning flair that makes it truly unique.

It’s sweet, spicy, gorgeous, and tropical.

Just be aware that it has some heat to it. So you might want to skip this one if that’s not your thing.

13. Whiskey Highball

Highballs are for those who love whiskey but want something bubbly and fun.

They’re basically just whiskey with some soda water or ginger ale added in for effect.

They look festive, give you that exciting nose tickle, and have a serious kick.

You won’t need more than a couple of these to get you feeling good.

14. Yellow Bird Cocktail

This enjoyable drink is dry but not bitter.

It features a brilliant yellow color and contains notes of licorice and vanilla. It’s also very alcohol-forward.

You make it with triple sec, white rum, and Galliano liqueur.

Those ingredients and a little lime juice are all you need.

Check it out if you are okay with tasting the alcohol in your drink.

If you don’t enjoy that, you might want to find another recipe instead.

15. Yellow Hammer Slammer

Believe it or not, orange juice and pineapple juice always pair nicely.

Add some rum, vodka, and amaretto, and it’s a real party!

That’s all you’ll need to make the famous yellow hammer slammer. (And a few maraschino cherries, of course!)

It’s another one of those drinks that, despite the three alcohols, doesn’t taste boozy.

Unfortunately, that means it can sneak up on you fast!

You barely taste the liquor and reach for another without realizing how strong it is.

So drink slowly, and let the first one kick in before grabbing a second.

With drinks this tasty, it’s hard to slow down. But you’ll need to.

16. Yellowjacket

This lovely, whitish-yellow cocktail is a fun variation of the classic bee’s knees.

It retains some of the original flavors but gives it an herb twist.

You combine gin and yellow Chartreuse with honey and lemon juice.

It’s light, crisp, and refreshing. And you can whip it up in 5 minutes or less, making it the ideal summer drink.

17. Yellow Parrot Cocktail

This simple, three-ingredient apricot cocktail is entirely made of alcohol. You need three things: absinthe, yellow Chartreuse, and apricot liqueur.

Simply pour all three over ice and stir it vigorously for a couple of minutes. Then, strain the mixture into an iced glass, and serve.

It’s that simple, and even the most inexperienced mixologist can do it.

Just be sure to stir it a bit longer than you would a normal cocktail. That’ll help the ice melt and dilute some of the bitter alcohol taste.
