20 Best Keto Shrimp Recipes

The keto diet just got a whole lot easier thanks to these scrumptious keto shrimp recipes!

Shrimp is one of the most popular types of seafood in America, so there’s certainly no shortage of recipes to choose from.

Finding ones that are keto, however, isn’t always easy.

Homemade Garlic Buttered Shrimp

That’s why I’ve gone through and chosen my favorite top 20 keto shrimp recipes of all time.

Want pasta? You can have it! Need a low-carb appetizer to serve your guests? That’s here, too!

With these keto shrimp dishes, you can have it all and feel good that you’re sticking with your health goals.

1. Keto Popcorn Shrimp

I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the most poppable recipe I think I’ve ever had.

Each tiny shrimp is battered with coconut flour and lightly fried in coconut oil, adding an extra tropical touch.

Meanwhile, the inside is nothing but juicy shrimp.

Be careful not to over-cook them. These shrimp only take a minute or two.

2. Cajun Shrimp Caesar Salad

Chicken may be a standard protein for Caesar salads, but I prefer Cajun shrimp instead.

The Cajun seasoning adds a hint of spice that goes well with the creamy dressing. This is a simple addition, and yet it makes a world of difference.

Plus, the shrimp only take a couple of minutes to cook. You can have a big bowl of this salad ready in a mere 15 minutes.

3. Easy Smoked Shrimp

Need a keto-friendly party appetizer for your annual backyard barbecue bash? Go with this easy shrimp recipe

You’ll slather shrimp in olive oil and garlic, then serve them with rich herby garlic butter.

You can smoke the shrimp on the grill or in the smoker, so there’s no need to worry if you don’t have the latter.

4. Keto Bang Bang Shrimp

One bite of this bang bang shrimp, and you’ll be happy you’ve gone keto.

The shrimp are dredged in a low-carb almond flour mixture and fried until golden brown.

Once that’s ready, you’ll give the shrimp a burst of flavor with the explosive bang bang sauce.

5. Keto Chinese Orange Peel Shrimp

The contrast of sweet and spicy in this orange sauce is spot on like P.F. Chang’s. While you could smother chicken in this, I think it tastes best with shrimp.

To keep it low-carb, you’ll use an orange extract in the sauce rather than orange juice. As for serving, cauliflower rice is an excellent substitution.

6. Shrimp and Arugula Salad

When you’re tired of gorging on keto sandwiches, mix up your lunch rendition with this dish.

This salad keeps things fresh and light with a simple bed of arugula and a twist of lemon for the dressing.

There’s also avocado tossed in which is perfect with the shrimp.

Use already cooked shrimp, and you can pull this together in a snap.

7. Keto Shrimp Scampi

Shrimp scampi is a classic Italian-American dish that is typically served over pasta. However, these shrimp are so flavorful, you won’t even miss the carbs.

Between the pop of parsley and fresh lemon, shrimp scampi is brimming with flavor.

8. Chimichurri Grilled Shrimp

While others may be slathering on the barbecue sauce, I’m dousing my grilled shrimp in fresh chimichurri.

As far as I’m concerned, these two are a match made in heaven.

Not only is this keto-friendly, but it’s super fresh, too!

9. Keto Shrimp Cocktail

This shrimp cocktail is like teleporting to an oceanfront vacation rental. It’s the ultimate fresh appetizer that gets a kick from the wasabi cocktail sauce.

For the best results, you’ll want to skip the frozen shrimp for this and go with fresh.

10. 15-minute Garlic Shrimp Zucchini Pasta

For many of us, the hardest part about keto is giving up our favorite pasta dishes. That’s where this recipe comes in handy.

Spiralized zucchini is a prime substitution for carb-rich pasta.

It also keeps things light, fresh, and healthy, so you’ll feel good about yourself after eating this meal.

11. Shrimp Zucchini Boats

Entertaining without serving dishes full of carbs can be perplexing. Luckily, these zucchini boats have come to the rescue.

Whether they’re an appetizer or main event, shrimp zucchini boats are a fabulous addition all your friends can get on board with.

Hollow out the center of the zucchini to make way for cheesy topped shrimp and artichoke hearts. Yum!

12. Coconut Shrimp with Sweet and Spicy Sauce

If you think keto popcorn shrimp is good, just wait until you try this irresistible recipe.

Large succulent shrimp get a tropical coating of shredded coconut. There’s even a creamy sweet and spicy sauce for the dipping.

This, my friends, is what I call heavenly bliss, and it’s keto, too!

13. Buffalo Shrimp Lettuce Wraps

Whether it’s lunch, dinner, or a snack, you can eat these wraps anytime hunger strikes and you’ll feel satisfied.

The shrimp have a coating of Frank’s Red Hot for some spice and some blue cheese for some bite.

For wrapping, butter lettuce leaves are a prime choice. They’re thick and wide, so they can hold all the yummy fillings without falling short.

14. Keto Shrimp and Broccoli Stir-Fry

Have some leftover shrimp you’re not sure what to do with? Throw it in a skillet and whip up this stir-fry.

This effortless dinner is a terrific option when you’re hungry and don’t want to invest a ton of time.

It’s also great for when you’re famished and need something quick.

15. Easy Sheet Pan Shrimp Fajitas

I’m all for easy sheet-pan dinner recipes, and this one tops the list!

It has all the best fajita fillings including shrimp, bell pepper, and onions. In addition to keto, this one is also a great choice for paleo and Whole30 dieters.

16. Creamy Shrimp Stuffed Avocado

These stuffed avocados are great for gatherings and lunches alike.

The inside of the avocado is overflowing with cubes of avocado, tomato, and shrimp in a complimentary creamy dressing.

17. Grilled Cajun Creole Shrimp with Sausage Skewers

Gather your friends because it’s cookout time! These skewers are reason enough to throw a keto bash and fire up the grill.

Between the cajun seasoning, shrimp, and andouille sausage, these are creole to the max!

While they’re good as is, I do like to squeeze some lemon juice on mine.

18. Pesto Shrimp Zoodles

I don’t think it could get more fresh than this!

Spiralized zucchini adds some much-needed nutrients you don’t get with regular pasta.

Plus, it tastes so insanely good covered in pesto and topped with cherry tomatoes and shrimp.

19. Shrimp Asparagus in Garlic Butter

There are a lot of cheese and bacon recipes that come with the keto diet. So when you need something a little less heavy, give this a try.

You’ll saute shrimp and asparagus in a refreshing garlicky butter sauce, then top with lemon.

20. Surf & Turf (Steak & Shrimp)

Although there are a few phenomenal surf and turf recipes on this list, I find this one is best when I’m craving red meat.

For the best results, I like to sear my steak first then finish in the oven. However, you can stick with just the stovetop if you like.

Depending on how rare you like your steak, cooking times will vary.

However, the shrimp only takes a couple of minutes, so you’ll want to time everything accordingly.
