Add more color and flavor to salads, chips, and entrees with this out-of-this-world Outback honey mustard dressing.

If you’re obsessed with Outback’s creamy, dreamy dressing, you’re in luck. There’s no need to pay a visit to the Aussie restaurant every time you have a hankering.

Homemade Outback Honey Mustard Dressing

Just whip up this homemade sauce and you’re all set. Trust me, it tastes just like the OG.

It’s so ridiculously scrumptious, it can make anything ten times more delicious.

I’m not just talking about salads, but even chips, wings, and steaks as well. Seriously, you’ll want to eat this dressing with everything.

With this incredible copycat, Outback Steakhouse is shaking! Let’s dive right in.

Outback Honey Mustard Dressing

Outback’s honey mustard dressing may not be as iconic as, say, the Bloomin’ Onion, but it’s definitely delicious.

It’s smooth and creamy with a perfect balance of sweet and tangy. With this delectable dressing, you won’t just enjoy your food – you’ll inhale it.

Fortunately, this dressing is easy to replicate at home. It only calls for three common pantry ingredients, a bowl, and a whisk.

Also, fun fact: Did you know that while it is an Australian-themed food chain, Outback Steakhouse is actually American-owned?

It was founded in 1988 by Bob Basham, Chris Sullivan, Trudy Cooper, and Tim Gannon. It all started in Tampa, Florida, and has now expanded to over 1000 locations all over the world.

And though people might go for the steak, they stay for this dressing!

Outback Honey Mustard Dressing Ingredients Mayonnaise, Mustard and Honey

How to Make Outback Honey Mustard Dressing at Home

First things first: prepare the ingredients. This recipe calls for honey, mayonnaise, and Grey Poupon mustard.

The key to getting the flavor as close to the original is to stick to Grey Poupon. Sure, you can use other mustard brands, but the taste won’t be the same.

You also want to use real, full-fat mayo for this recipe. Don’t swap it out for Miracle Whip.

This mayonnaise alternative does not contain enough eggs, which in turn will cause the dressing to separate once you mix in the honey.

And speaking of honey…be sure to use real honey to get the full flavor.

Once you have all your ingredients ready, pour them all into a large mixing bowl. It has to be spacious enough so you can whisk liberally.

Stir the ingredients together with a wire whisk or fork until it combines into a smooth, homogenous mixture.

Taste the dressing and add seasonings, if desired. You can add a pinch of salt and pepper to brighten the flavor, but to me, it’s perfect as is.

Others also like to add a tablespoon of horseradish for some zing. Feel free to make it your own!

Once you’re happy with the taste, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate. This is the toughest part: you have to wait for at least two hours.

Give the ingredients enough time to marinate for their flavors to marry. Two hours is enough, but overnight is the most ideal.

How Long Will This Dressing Last?

As long as you store it properly, this dressing will last for up to a week!

That said, I highly suggest you double the recipe and store the rest. It’s so good I’m sure it won’t even last days.

Transfer the sauce into an airtight container, preferably a mason jar or glass bottle. This will make it easy for you to shake the dressing before use.

Shaking helps redistribute the flavors.

Seal it tight and refrigerate.

What to Serve Honey Mustard Dressing With
