Each one of these fruity concoctions tastes like a tropical paradise in a glass.

Refreshing Pina Colada - Classic Pineapple Cocktails

Pineapple Cocktails & Drink Recipes

These pineapple cocktails are full of sweet, tangy pineapple and your favorite liquor, too.

And from the classic piña colada to the sneaky Bahama mama, there’s a pineapple cocktail just waiting to put a smile on your face.

So close your eyes, take a sip, and let your troubles melt away.

1. Pineapple Screwdriver

What I love about this pineapple screwdriver is how easy it is to make.

All it takes is five minutes, and you’ll be able to kick back and relax with a well-deserved screwdriver in hand.

And if you want to add a bit of pizzaz, try a splash of Champagne.

(Or for a really fun twist, mix in some grapefruit juice!)

Ingredients: pineapple juice, orange juice, vodka, mint leaves, orange twist, maraschino cherries & pineapple chunks (for garnish)

2. Pineapple Margarita

Strawberry margaritas were my favorite rendition of this classic until I took a sip of this version.

The tanginess of pineapple contrasts the sweetness of the Triple Sec in the most amazing way.

I love serving up a pitcher of this on a hot summer day. And they make a delightful addition to taco nights and summer barbecues alike.

Just blend all your ingredients until you reach a luscious frozen consistency.

Ingredients: silver tequila, pineapple juice, Triple Sec, lime juice, salt & lime wedge (for garnish)

3. Pineapple Mojito

Mojitos are the epitome of refreshing. Add in pineapple and you’ve got a smashing pair!

For this, you’ll need some space to work. So use a tall glass like a collins or highball glass.

Oh, and a muddler helps!

You can use a spoon in a pinch, but the blunt end of a muddler makes all the difference. It’ll release all those yummy juices with ease.

Ingredients: lime wedges, sugar, club soda, pineapple mint leaves, pineapple juice, white rum

4. Pineapple Bourbon Lemonade

Now, this is what a lazy afternoon porch session is all about.

The tartness of the lemon and the fruitiness of the pineapple meld together seamlessly.

And they pair impeccably with the smooth, warming quality of bourbon

If you’re not a bourbon fan, rum is a great replacement. You can also adjust the tartness level with more or less lemon.

Ingredients: pineapple juice, bourbon, lemon juice, pineapple and lemon slices (for garnish

5. Pineapple Upside-Down Cocktail

If you think pineapple upside-down cakes are good, wait until you try them in liquid form!

This adult beverage tastes just like the pineapple dessert. And it’s all down to a dash of grenadine and a good glug of pineapple juice.

There’s even a garnish of maraschino cherries and fresh pineapple to match.

Ingredients: pineapple juice, cake-flavored vodka, Amaretto, lime juice, Grenadine, marachino cherries & pineapple slices (for garnish)

6. Piña Colada in a Pineapple

Nothing screams “vacation!” like a pineapple cocktail in an actual pineapple!

So if you like piña coladas, grab a fresh pineapple and hollow out the middle. And don’t worry, you’ll use the flesh for the drink.

This creamy and lucious pineapple cocktail is so good, it tastes like a fresh ocean breeze with soft sand beneath your feet.

Ingredients: frozen pineapple, coconut cream, coconut milk, white rum, ice cubes, lime juice

7. Painkiller Cocktail

What’s a Painkiller you ask? Well, it’s similar to a piña colada, but it’s from the British Virgin Islands.

And in piña colada fashion, it uses rum, coconut cream, and pineapple juice.

However, the twist it calls for is a splash of orange juice, rum, and a garnish of nutmeg.

You can make this with any rum, but Pusser’s is the classic choice. They did trademark this cocktail, after all.

Ingredients: rum, pineapple juice, orange juice, cream of coconut, nutmeg & pineapple wedge (for garnish)

8. Pineapple Martini

There are countless ways to make a martini.

But if you’re not a fan of the usual alcohol-only drinks, try this tropical twist. It looks kinda fancy, but it’s super straightforward.

Just toss the vodka, lime, and pineapple juice into a cocktail shaker, then strain.

If you’re more of a gin drinker, use that instead of vodka. All those botanical notes would pair just as nicely.

Ingredients: ice, pineapple juice, vodka, lime wedges

9. Pineapple Rum Punch

Ready in five minutes, this yum punch is just what you need for a day by the pool.

I like gold rum because it has a sweet, vibrant flavor that isn’t as rich as dark rum. I find it blends into the punch better.

But go ahead and use your fave. Even Malibu will work well in this one!

As for the ginger ale, I love the light spice it offers. That said, you can’t go wrong with a glug of Champagne or Prosecco.

Ingredients: pineapple coconut juice, gold rum, lime juice, ginger ale

10. Classic Pina Colada

We can’t talk about pineapple cocktails without mentioning a classic piña colada.

Invented in Puerto Rico, this recipe is an ode to this cocktails’ roots.

It’s thick, sweet, and deliciously frozen.

I recommend serving this in a tall glass with a cocktail umbrella and wedge of pineapple. Yum!

Ingredients: frozen pineapple, ice, rum, cream of coconut, pineapple juice, lime juice, marachino cherries (for garnish)

11. Bahama Mama

Heed my warning: Bahama mamas are dangerously delicious.

They’re super smooth and fruity, and full of booze, too. And one is not enough!

You may not be able to go on vacation, so let it come to you Bahama mama-style.

(Give it a kick of sweetness with mango or watermelon juice!)

Ingredients: orange juice, pineapple juice, dark rum, coconut rum, lime juice. Grenadine, pineapple slices & marachino cherries (for garnish)

12. Blue Hawaiian

Hosting a Hawaiian-themed party? Boy, do I have the cocktail for you!

As the name suggests, this cocktail was invented in Hawaii and sports the color blue. It’s full of tropical flavors, including pineapple and coconut.

While Hawaiian shirts may be optional for your party, this recipe is non-negotiable!

Ingredients: crushed ice, pineapple juice, cream of coconut, white rum, vodka, blue curacao, fresh pineapple & maraschino cherries (for garnish)

13. Tequila Sunrise with Pineapple and Jalapeño Recipe

This pineapple variation of the tequila sunrise is a favorite of mine.

It layers pleasant sweet-tart tropical notes into the mix, giving it way more complexity.

And did I mention the jalapeños? That little bit of heat is such a treat against the cool drink.

This cocktail is great for gathering with friends on a warm summer day.

Ingredients: pineapple chunks, jalapeño chile slices, orange juice, tequila, Grenadine, ice cubes

14. French Martini

The reason this drink is called a French martini is that you make it with Chambord, a rich black raspberry liqueur from France.

There’s also pineapple juice mixed in because…well we’re talking about pineapple cocktails, right?

One thing is for certain, you’ll want a martini glass for this classy drink. Add a toothpick of raspberries and a pineapple wedge for an additional treat.

Ingredients: vodka, pineapple juice, Chambord, sea salt, ice

15. Malibu Bay Breeze

Thanksgiving or Fourth of July, I think a Malibu bay breeze is an excellent choice for celebrating.

This recipe takes tart unsweetened cranberry juice and pairs it with sweet pineapple juice for a sensational drink.

I recommend steering clear of sweetened cranberry juice for this one. It’ll mask the pineapple if it’s too sugary.

(Make it a Sea Breeze with grapefruit juice instead of cranberry!)

16. Malibu Sunset

Another incredible way to use Malibu rum is this recipe.

Its a sweet, coconutty drink with a scrumptiously tropical burst of freshness.

Traditionally, it’s made with cranberry juice instead of Grenadine. But both are just as good!

Serve this on the rocks with a couple of maraschino cherries.

Ingredients: pineapple-orange juice, Malibu coconut rum, Grenadine, maraschino cherries & pineapple and/or orange slices (for garnish)

17. Pineapple Sangria

Come to my house for Sunday brunch and you’ll find a delightful pitcher of pineapple sangria on the table.

It’s easy, refreshing, and full of fruity goodness.

Use white wine if you don’t like bubbles. Or go for Prosecco if you prefer it with some fizz.

And of course, it wouldn’t be sangria without some fresh fruit. Pineapple and strawberries are great, but peaches work well too.

Ingredients: pineapple, olive oil, strawberries, lemon slices, lemonade, pineapple juice, light white wine or Prosecco, mint sprigs (for garnish)
