Why You’ll Love This Tiramisu Dip

Effortlessly Decadent: This dessert dip captures the rich, indulgent flavors of tiramisu in a simple, no-bake, 5-minute treat.

Crowd-Pleasing Versatility: You can serve the dip with a variety of dippers like ladyfingers, biscotti, fresh fruit, pound cake, or even pretzels, making it a crowd-pleasing treat for any occasion.

Customizable Delight: Adjust the intensity of the coffee flavor or sweetness level to suit your preferences by varying the amount of espresso powder or powdered sugar.

Ingredients

  • Mascarpone Cheese: Mascarpone is a rich Italian soft cheese with a slightly sweet flavor that’s essential for an authentic tiramisu taste.
  • Cream Cheese: Provides a velvety smooth body and a delicate tang that beautifully enhances the rich flavor of the mascarpone. Look for a high-quality, full-fat cream cheese for the best texture and flavor.
  • Powdered Sugar: Sweetens the dip and helps thicken it.
  • Heavy Whipping Cream: Lightens the dip and makes it especially luxurious.
  • Espresso Powder: You can’t have tiramisu without coffee. Mix this into the cream for a subtle, almost latte-like taste.
  • Pure Vanilla Extract: Rounds out the flavors and adds a sweet aroma.
  • Unsweetened Cocoa Powder: A generous dusting of cocoa on top makes this dip look as good as it tastes. It provides a bittersweet contrast to the creaminess below.

How to Make Tiramisu Dip

Tiramisu dip is great for entertaining since you can make it ahead of time and pull it out when guests arrive.

Though I have to admit, it’s hard not to just eat it all myself with a spoon!

Luckily, it’s as easy to make as it is to gobble up.

1. BEAT the cream cheese until smooth, then blend in the mascarpone.

2. ADD the sugar and mix until smooth, then beat in the cream, espresso powder, and vanilla.

3. SERVE right away with a dusting of cocoa or chill until ready to devour.

Tips For the Best Tiramisu Dip

The harmonious balance of sweet, creamy, and coffee-kissed flavors in this dessert dip will transport you to the charming cafes of Italy.

Seriously, it’s a must-try for dessert enthusiasts and coffee lovers alike!

And with these tips, it’s a cinch!

  • Soften the cheese. Allow the mascarpone and cream cheese to soften at room temperature for easier mixing and a smoother dip consistency.
  • Adjust the sweetness. Taste and adjust the amount of powdered sugar to your desired level of sweetness.
  • Avoid over-whipping. Be careful not to over-whip the mixture or it may become grainy. Stop beating as soon as stiff peaks form.
  • Chill before serving. For a firmer consistency, chill the dip for 1-2 hours before serving.
  • Dust before serving. Sift the cocoa powder over the dip right before serving for the best presentation and flavor. If you dust too early, it will soak into the top.
  • Variations. Add a tablespoon of coffee liqueur, rum or marsala wine for a more authentic tiramisu flavor. For a chocolate version, fold some cocoa powder or melted chocolate into the cheese mixture.

How to Store

One bite and this became my new favorite indulgence for special occasions, or just because.

Let me know if you make it and what you think!

To Store: Cover the dip or transfer it to an airtight container. Store in the fridge for 1-2 days. If you’re not planning on serving it immediately, hold off on the cocoa powder.

Note: I don’t recommend freezing this dip as the dairy will probably turn watery after thawing.

This quick and easy tiramisu dip delivers classic flavors with minimal effort! It’s the perfect treat for parties or when you’re craving a taste of the lakes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, cold

  • 1 tablespoon instant espresso powder

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened

  • 8 ounces (1 cup) mascarpone cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

  • unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting

  • ladyfingers, vanilla wafers, or fresh fruit, for dipping

Instructions

  • Combine the cold cream, espresso powder, and vanilla in a measuring glass. Set in the fridge to keep cold.
  • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes. Add the mascarpone and beat until well blended.
  • With the mixer on low, add the powdered sugar and beat until incorporated. Then, slowly stream the infused cream into the bowl. When combined, turn the speed to medium-high and beat until thick and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Be careful not to over-whip.
  • Transfer the tiramisu dip to a serving bowl and dust the surface generously with unsweetened cocoa powder.
  • Serve immediately with ladyfingers, vanilla wafers, fresh fruit, or other dippers of your choice. Alternatively, chill for 1-2 hours before serving (add the cocoa just before serving).

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of powdered sugar to your taste.
  • For a more authentic flavor, add 1-2 tablespoons of marsala wine, Kahlúa, or other coffee liqueur in step 2.
